We still need your help to halt the salt
It is important that as many people as possible tell the
State Government to listen to the Environmental Protection
Authority’s expert advice on Straits Solar Salt project
in the Exmouth Gulf over the next few weeks.
As we stated in our last e-Newsletter, the EPA has produced
unequivocal advice in its Bulletin to the Environment Minister
that the Straits Solar Salt project in Exmouth Gulf should
not proceed under any conditions.
We now need everyone to urge the Premier and his Minister
to accept the EPA’s advice and ensure the area is protected
in the future.
With an election looming, it’s important the State
Government makes a decision over the next few weeks. Once
it announces the date of the election it will go into caretaker
mode and won’t make a decision until after the election.
Please forward this email to as many people as possible and
encourage them to also communicate to the State Government
on this important issue.
